India is a vast country with a plethora of appealing attractions- deserts, mountains, nature, beaches, monuments, temples, and history- spread from one side of its land to another. The rich history of this beautiful country along with its geographical and cultural diversity makes its international tourism emanate large and varied. Let us have a look at my favourite 7 places to see in India.

It is the most frequently visited city in India, since it is home to some of the most beautiful eternal tokens of love- The Taj Mahal. It is a spectacular monument and a resilient Indian icon. This white domed marble tomb is also one of the seven wonders of the world. It is a very well-known tourist circuit in India. Some of the other popular places of the city include Akbar’s tomb, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Sikandar Fort and Ram Bagh.

The city of Amritsar, located in Punjab is the holy city of the Sikh religion as it’s main attraction is the beautiful and revered Golden Temple. This temple was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh and is made up of white marble, gold leaf and bronze. Other major tourist attractions include The Jallianwala Bah, Durgiana Temple and India-Pakistan Border.

Jaipur and Udaipur
An extravagant showcase Rajasthan’s architecture, the vibrant capital of the city is popularly known as the ‘Pink City’. Jaipur also known as the Pink City gives an insight into the rich heritage and artistic traditions of the city. ‘Hawa Mahal’ located in Jaipur, devised in the form of the crown of Lord Krishna is an exquisite palace which draws visitors from all around the world. The Lake Place of Udaipur is also another breathtaking palaces in the world.

The alluring backwaters, the enchanting waterfalls, the mesmerizing hill stations and the calm atmosphere makes this city a favored tourist destinations. Its backwaters comprise of a chain of lakes and lagoons which run parallel to the Arabian Sea. A cruise in the home boats gives visitors an exciting and extraordinary chance to experience the greenery and beauty of the surrounding areas and villages.

One can treasure and enjoy clear picture of the world’s third highest peak, Kanchenjunga. It also hosts some of the most well-known hill resorts and the view of sunrise is totally phenomenal.

It is one of India’s hot spots and it is extremely popular for it picturesque location. It splits into two districts: South and North Goa. Vibrant North Goa has fascinating buildings and churches and some notable beaches. On the other hand South Goa include popular beaches like Colva, Bogmalo and Benaulim.
